Remember that date: on 21st of February we shall present an exceptional car, stemming from collaboration between the Italian Atelier Zagato and La Squadra.
To true petrolheads, the Zagato brand hardly needs any introduction. The legendary coachbuilder and design studio, founded in 1919 in Milan, firmly established itself in the motor industry history with its many ground-breaking chassis for such automotive brands as Ferrari, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, Aston Martin and more. La Squadra – one of its kind dealer of collector’s cars Ferrari, Pagani, Koenigsegg, Bugatti, Rimac, Singer and Alpine – undertook to create, in collaboration with Zagato, a completely new and very unique sports car.
At this stage we can only disclose this is going to be a homage to a racing legend which once competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans race. To a car which, despite not having made it to the list of winners of that gruesome endurance race, has become protagonist of a fascinating story anyway. That, as well as its unfulfilled potential, were an enormous inspiration to us.
The design and manufacturing of the chassis were entrusted to a team of artists from Atelier Zagato who, in this special collaboration, are responsible for things they are best known of: designing extraordinary car bodies and manufacturing them using craftsmanship methods. La Squadra, on its part, will focus on the sales and marketing segment.
We shall publish more details about the AGTZ Twin Tail on Wednesday 21st of February, at 08:00 PM.
